The Unfinished Realm
An experimental PHP websockets / Redis backed roguelike engine, very much a work in progress.
Currently implemented (among other things):
- Four imaginary races with themed home towns / areas (well, basically humans, dwarves, elves, halflings)
- Four classes (fighter, magician, rogue, hunter), each with a special skill: fighters can go berserk, given they have enough rage (slower, devastating attacks), magicians can cast spells (about a dozen spells available atm.), rogues can use stealth / backstab, hunters can use ranged weapons even at close range, and tame pets (one pet at a time, stables can be used to store pets)
- Trainable weapon skills / spells
- Some quests via home towns' questgivers
- Multiple dungeons / towns / special maps to explore
- Useable equipment, e.g. fishing rods for fishing, ropes for lassoing enemies, lit torches can set trees (and other things) on fire, etc.
- Separate multiplayer world (PvE), with player-to-player trading, up to 4 player party, spectator mode etc.
The game is currently running on a subpar mini pc connected via a 4g+ connection, so concurrent connections are limited to 10 solo / 10 multiplayer sessions total, and 2 per individual IP.
